Cat Cognition Calculators is 24 free tools. Most take a few details about your cat โ€” weight, age, diet, household setup โ€” and turn published veterinary guidance into a number you can act on, with the reasoning shown beside it so you can see how the answer was reached instead of taking it on trust. The rest are practical generators and reference tools, like a printable lost-cat poster, a sitter's emergency card, or a searchable database of what is toxic to cats.

The formulas come from published guidance rather than rules of thumb. The calorie and portion tools use the resting energy requirement equation described in the WSAVA Global Nutrition Guidelines. The weight tools use the nine-point body condition score from the same guidance. The age and senior-care tools follow the AAHA/AAFP Feline Life Stage Guidelines, and the litter box tool follows the AAFP environmental needs recommendation. Where a calculator rests on published guidance, that guidance is named on its page, and the feeding and weight tools link straight to the WSAVA documents they use.

These tools are built for planning, and for framing the questions worth asking at your next appointment. They do not diagnose anything and they do not replace a veterinary examination. If a result surprises you, or your cat's appetite, weight or behaviour has changed, that is a conversation for your vet. Nothing here needs an account, and we never store your cat's details; usage analytics are the only thing sent onward.
